Josh Dobbs had another impressive game for the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, leading his team to a 27-19 victory over the New Orleans Saints.
As we saw throughout the MLB playoffs, rock band Creed’s “Higher” became the official song of the World Series champion Texas Rangers, but the Vikings also turned to their music throughout 2023 campaign.
Kirk Cousins said last month that Creed’s plays helped turn around Minny’s season, and Dobbs, who is now QB1 after Cousins’ season-ending injury, also touted loudly reported.
A fan sang “Higher” before Dobbs’ rushing touchdown and the caller had the perfect reaction.
For what it’s worth, this fan went viral on TikTok for singing “Higher” repeatedly.
He didn’t just do it for Josh Dobbs’ touchdown.
Regardless, it was fun and the veteran QB clearly enjoyed it too.
Dobbs was 23 of 34 in Week 10 for 268 yards and one touchdown.
He also ran for 44 yards, including the above score.
The Vikings have now won five straight games, all without superstar Justin Jefferson.
This is perhaps the most impressive part.
Minnesota is second in the NFC North with a 6-4 record and it appears they are moving in the right direction.
Jefferson is expected to return shortly after returning to practice last week and Josh Dobbs is proving to be the answer following his recent trade to the Arizona Cardinals.
Creed may not be making music anymore, but his most famous song is becoming even more popular in NFL locker rooms.
