Swansea City boss Michael Duff has confirmed his interest in signing Josh Tymon from Stoke City ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.
The Swans are said to have made a £1.5 million offer for Tymon. Duff admits he is a fan of the 24-year-old but added that “he is not the only left-back we have spoken to”.
Amid speculation about his future, Tymon played 90 minutes for Stoke on Tuesday night as they beat Rotherham United 6-1 in the second round of the Carabao Cup at bet365 Stadium. In the league, he has made one start and one substitute in four appearances so far this season.
With 14 summer signings already done and more to be expected before the summer transfer window closes this week, there could also be a departure from Alex Neil’s squad. And Duff has been in contact with Tymon following Swansea’s loss to Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
