Football fans loved watching them play for Barcelona, yet Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez will have one last dance with each other at Inter Miami.
The legend of Barcelona and Liverpool, Luis Suarez, has signed a contract with Inter Miami.
After Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets joined forces with the team, Suarez, 36, will be the newest star to join David Beckham’s MLS outfit. Barcelona had an incredible 2014–15 season, winning a historic Treble, while they were together at the Nou Camp.
While nearly ten years have passed since Luis Enrique’s side eviscerated Spain and Europe, Suarez will be moving to the States to join his fellow team-mates.
Miami announced the news by uploading a picture of four young boys sitting together, with the names of the Barcelona legends on their back.
Beckham said: “We are delighted to have a player of Luis’ quality and passion for the game join our club. He joins a squad that is inspiring the next generation and we look forward to seeing him take to the field with both former teammates and young players from our academy.”
Suarez also expressed his excitement, telling his new fanbase: “I’m very happy and excited to take on this new challenge with Inter Miami. I can’t wait to get started, and I’m ready to work to make the dream of winning more titles with this great club a reality. I’m optimistic about what we can achieve together with our shared ambition.
