Real Madrid have been rocked by the injury of Vinicius Jr, who has been sidelined for at least six weeks and could miss a series of important matches over the next month.
With Vini gone, Real Madrid have a limited number of strikers, which could make it very difficult for the Spanish giants, who are looking to continue their excellent start to the season.
Rodrygo will take over
Although Vinicius’ injury is a real blow, Rodrygo is still ready to take on the responsibility of leading Real Madrid’s attack, Diario AS reports.
The Spanish newspaper claims that Rodrygo will be assigned the role of Vinicius until the player returns from injury.
In a 4-3-3 formation, the idea was to position Rodrygo on the left flank, with Joselu as the central striker, as the former Stoke City striker preferred. Federico Valverde will play on the right wing, a position also preferred by Rodrygo. Therefore, Real Madrid’s new attack can include Valverde, Rodrygo and Joselu.

In a 4-3-1-2 formation, Rodrygo is expected to lead Real Madrid’s attack alongside Joselu, with four midfielders completing the second press line.
Additional support from Jude Bellingham in the No 10 role will be crucial to improving Real Madrid’s productivity in the bottom third of the pitch. more than possible
For his part, Rodrygo has proven his goal-scoring skills over the past few years. In the 2021/22 season, the 22-year-old scored 9 goals and 10 assists.
Last season, the Brazilian was involved in a total of 30 goals in all competitions, scoring 19 goals and providing 11 assists, indicating a significant improvement in his performance.
Even in the current season, Rodrygo has scored one goal in three appearances and his number could increase as Real Madrid look to make him the center of attack.
As for Vinicius, the Brazil international will return to action against Sevilla on October 22. Related topics:

It has been a nightmare summer for Real Madrid youngster Reinier Jesus so far as he is currently absent from Carlo Ancelotti’s first team nor Castilla’s team.
The 21-year-old Brazilian returned from loan at Girona last season and trained on his own for much of the summer pending a decision on his future.
The young attacking midfielder has made it clear that he will not be part of Ancelotti’s plans this season. And so, the return of the loan to Girona seems likely before it collapses.
Real Madrid are patiently awaiting offers for Reinier and he finally appears to have arrived in the later stages of the transfer window. Frosinone wants to loan Reinier Jesus
Indeed, according to small Serie A side Fabrizio Romano, Frosinone has asked Real Madrid to sign Reinier Jesus on loan for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.
Negotiations are now expected to take place between the two clubs over a temporary loan deal.
Romano adds that the operation will be a simple loan agreement, with little chance of acquiring the right to purchase in perpetuity.

Real Madrid have almost not missed a signing in South America in recent years. But Reinier is an exception. Arriving from Flamengo in January 2020, the 21-year-old made his first appearance for Castilla.
