Ansu Fati’s transfer saga has changed a lot this evening amid links to Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton & Hove Albion.
For a while, it appeared that Spurs were in talks to sign the Barcelona player on loan.
Then the reports tonight show 99% done as far as Tottenham are concerned.
But now it looks like Tottenham could be beaten at the finish line by Brighton, based on some key news tonight.
Fabrizio Romano has released not one but two major Fati-related updates, which is bad news for Spurs fans and good news for Seagulls followers. First, the Italian coach reported on X that Brighton had made an official offer to loan the 20-year-old Barca player.
And then Romano only added that Brighton is now close to Fati, who has accepted the Seagulls as his next destination.
The transfer insider added: “The final green light is on and we’re going to get started.”
Although Tottenham have negotiated with the Blaugrana, it seems that their priority is still Brennan Johnson.
