According to Jeff Howe of The Athletic, quarterback Trevor Lawrence of the Jacksonville Jaguars is undergoing “around the clock” rehabilitation for the high ankle sprain he sustained during Monday’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Although Lawrence is still expected to play against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, it is too soon to tell how his ankle will react to treatment.
During a passing play in the fourth quarter, Jaguars left tackle Walker Little stepped on the 24-year-old quarterback’s ankle, causing an initial injury.
Lawrence initially took a couple of steps towards the sidelines before collapsing to his knees and pounding the ground in frustration.
He was then tended to by trainers before requiring assistance as he limped to the locker room and sat out the remainder of the game.
